Silhouette of light shone through laser cut stencils of content from my book of people opinions of locals of Kelham Island on the gentrification of the area they live in. While the filming in these two videos isn't great, I feel that the psychical form of the paper bend and flopping over creates an interesting, warped aesthetic that could be used in conjunction with the 'glitched' imagery of Kelham Island to present the disorientation gentrification can inflict.
Laser cut text of quotes from Kelham Island locals on their opinions on the gentrification of the island and whether it is a positive or negative step in Kelhams future.
Blowing onto cut outs from laser cut stencil, as to record the fragmenting of the type - to use as a layer over video of imagery fragmenting.
Monitor displaying visuals of city at HOME exhibiton. My laser cut text could be siplayed in a skewed aesthetic, adding more context to the projection
