The aim of brief 1 would be to present the themes of an industrial area that has been gentrified, through paper stock, binds and the cover that are clearly reminiscent of the 'industrial' materials i.e. steel, wood, cloth (all these products were made on the topic area, Kelham Island).
Accompanied with subtle content that focuses on differences in opinion to the gentrification of industrial areas, Kelham Island in particular, with a broken, varying, disordered/muddled content. Along with the disparity of opinion, the jumbled or 'glitchy' arrangement of type, presents the blurred and complicated process of change when gentrification happens.
The book itself would be restricted by its bind, so that the viewer only gets a small insight into the significance of gentrification to industrial areas.
Taking these theme through to brief 2; the features of 'industrial materials' and 'subtle changes in type would'. The digital median would severely emphasise these qualities massively.
