Similar to the rule of thirds where the focal point(s) of the image and placed along one of the lines dividing the thirds. Study's show that the human eye naturally follows a reverse 'N' pattern from the top left of the page when reading.
Following this reverse N structure, I have made collages from Will Finns photo's, which in some cases are 'legible' when you view them in this traditional format, but the compositions change making the images not legible when you read in this traditional reverse N format; asking the reader to change their habitual reading style, so that they can read the changing narrative.
