Layout
Increase the size of the imagery so that there is less white space - felt like this space didn't contribute to the 'Narrative' themes in the publication as it wasn't a conscious design decision to leave it clear. Changed the layout as the images weren't lined up to fit across the double page spread.
Further developments:
- Might hole punch the publication - taking away from the narrative of the book - have coloured acetate as filler pages to distort the images further.
Saddle-stitch
Due to the focus on imagery which spreads across a double spread; saddle-stitch is my preferred form of binding for this publication as it allows for the images to be seen clearly.
Further Developments:
- Staple the book more evenly in the centre - so that there isn't any overlapping of pages.
- Could the changing narrative be presented through 'changing' paper-stock.
Perfect Bind
At first, I left too much empty space on the inner margin, that there was a clear separation of the images. I corrected this by removing this margin of space entirely - because of this some fo the imagery is hidden in the bind.
Further developments:
- If I was to perfect bind any developments, I would leave a small inner margin on both sides of each double spread, so that none of the imagery is lost in the bind.
